Shania Twains crew members rushed to hospital after tour bus crashes

Members of Shania Twain’s crew were rushed to hospital on Wednesday after a traffic accident caused by dangerous driving conditions.

Twain, 58, was not on the tour bus involved and is safe.

One bus and one truck from the Any Man of Mine hitmaker’s Queen of Me tour were involved in the accident on a highway between Winnipeg and Saskatoon, Canada.

Her management company, Maverick Management, told PEOPLE: “Multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather.

“Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals.”

Injured crew members are currently being treated for non-life-threatening wounds, according to Global News.

First responders were called to break the windows of the bus and free 13 trapped passengers.

Town of Grenfell fire chief Dwayne Stone also recalled using an emergency hatch in the roof to free the crew, who were then taken to a nearby hospital.

“All the escape hatches, the front top window and the back top window were out,” he said.

“Slowly we got them out. We had people up on the roof, inside, people in the back, people in the front just working to get everyone out in a safe manner.”

Maverick Management added: “We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support.

“We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”
