Spice Accused of Attention Seeking for Declaring She Isnt Pregnant Despite Maternity Shoot

The ‘Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ star clarifies that she shared the maternity shoot to celebrate her ‘rebirth’ following her health scare in late 2022 instead of pregnancy.

AceShowbizSpice is not having a bun in the oven despite sharing a maternity photo earlier this week. The “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” star revealed that she posted the picture to celebrate her “new” life, but it didn’t sit well with many Internet users who then called her out on Instagram.

For the record, Spice shared the maternity shoot on Tuesday, March 14. The snap showed her cradling her burgeoning belly in a blue dress, prompting her followers to believe that she was pregnant.

Later on Friday, the dancehall singer set the record straight. “Big up to Father God. Big up to Jesus. He literally gave me a new life and that’s what I’m celebrating. That’s all it is,” she said during an Instagram Live.

“It was just about celebrating my new life. Giving God glory,” she added. “Giving God thanks for this new life. New Journey. Second rebirth, I’m a brand new person I feel rejuvenated.”

In another clip, Spice explained that she suffered complications from surgery in October 2022. She then noted that the life-threatening hernia had sent her into a “sepsis shock,” which affected her lungs and skin.

Claiming that she “died” in the Dominican Republic during the procedure, the mom of two said she was finally brought back by doctors who opened her chest and “never gave up on her.” Despite her clarification, many people were still upset at the reality star.

One person in particular asked, “Marketing or mental health issues?!?” Another argued, “Just say you were seeking attention.” Someone else, meanwhile, elaborated, “New life can be portrayed in many ways. Pregnancy is not something to play around with. Women are out here struggling to create that new life. Don’t use it for marketing purposes.”
