A NEW set of festive wine glasses has caused quite the debate on socialm media after shoppers insisted they look 'awkward'.
Supermarket Asda has long been known for its homeware section – but the latest addition to join the shelves, gingerbread-inspired wine glasses, has left people divided.
According to one customer of the store, Sean Robinson, Asda were now offering a new gingerbread range – and just in time for Christmas, the collection had just about anything you'd need.
Looking for a festive tumbler in the shape of an adorable gingerbread man? No worries, Asda have got you, selling a mini version for just £3.50.
Other Christmas bargains, the post revealed, include a drinking glass with gingerbread print, as well as a ginerbread-shaped mason jar with a straw.
But the item that's caused the most storm online was the gingerbread man wine glass, which was going for £4.

The party must-have, which also comes in a set of four (£16), looks exactly like the popular Christmas treat and even has two adorable hands.
To make it more festive, the design also boasts two fake eyes, black buttons, two pink cheeks and the signature cheeky smile.
Judging by Sean's snaps, the wine glass is also of a relatively decent size – a win-win.
''Asda being extra with their gingerbread wine glasses,'' the shopper chuckled in the caption.

The rather unusual design, however, received mixed feelings on Facebook, where the post has won over 1.7k likes in a few days.
Almost 2k members of the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group raced to comments to share their thoughts – and not everyone was a fan.

''I was laughing at these yesterday,'' a shopper was left in hysterics over the design.
Another had also spotted the new collection and insisted it was a bit odd.
'' I see them in our asda but looks awkward so I brought the normal glasses with gingerbread men.''
Someone else was convinced the £4 wine essentials would break easily: ''Would last maybe a week before falling over and breaking.''
But for the most part it seems the glasses went down a treat, as hundreds tagged their pals saying it was a ''need''.
''I've bought these absolutely obsessed with ginger bread men at Christmas time so had to get them… didn't see the smaller glasses though so will deffo be getting them next time I go in,'' a homeware fanatic revealed.
