Busy mum shares her secret hack that saves her £46 each time she goes to the cinema and it’s perfect for big families | The Sun

IT'S not secret that going to the cinema can be pretty pricey, especially if you've got kids who want snacks and drinks.

That's why one mum shared a hack she swears by, and it saved her £46 every time.

Casey Major-Bunce shared the money saving hack on Instagram and it's a game changer for the summer holidays.

Of course, most cinemas will let you bring in your own popcorn and sweet treats, but what if you want to indulge in a hotdog and nachos but don't want to pay the high prices?

"Honestly, it's going to save you so much money during the summer holidays, you don't need to keep re-mortgaging your house every time you go to the cinema," she said.

Make your own nachos

The mum-of-four suggested adding nachos to plastic cups and putting dips like salsa and sour cream into other tubs to pour on once you get there to stop everything from going soggy.

You can even get the classic cinema nacho cheese too, she added.

Just melt eight slices of burger cheese and 100ml of milk together – microwave it for one minute, stir, then microwave for a further 30 seconds, adding in some grated cheese of your choosing.

Casey said: "Make sure the flask you add it to has had boiling water in for 15 mins to make it nice and hot, remove the water fully then add the cheese.

"You don’t need to use a cup, just have a bag of Doritos and add the cheese inside."

Bright warm hotdogs with you

You can also have a tasty hotdog while you watch a film, just cook them beforehand and then store them in a hot flask.

Add the sausages to hot water in the flask and bring your buns and some sachets of ketchup.

You can assemble the hotdogs once you're seated and then you don't have to worry about spending a fortune.
