BANISHING spiders from your home is going to take a dual-pronged approach according to one handyman.
He said using bug killers alone was not enough to fully win the war against these creepy crawlies.
There was one crucial first step that people often missed.
By doing so, it created a golden opportunity for these unwanted eight-legged visitors to prosper and reproduce in warm and cozy environments.
But not anymore if you go by the advice of Twin Traps (@twinhomeexperts).
These identical twins have 828,000 followers on their TikTok, where they promise to share their: “Home repair tips and tricks."
In this post, one-half of the pair explained how to gain ground on the arachnids.
“If you want to win the war on those spiders around your house, and you’re headed to a big box store, nope, don’t do it," he said.
Ditch the more expensive options he advised, that usually retailed around $9.97.
Instead, head for something a full $2 cheaper, Spectracide Bug Stop Home Barrier, available from Amazon for $7.97.

Not everyone agreed and some came up with their own solutions for spider control.
One person said: “I leave the spiders alone. They eat other bugs."
Another was alarmed by the idea of removing spider homes: “I am scared to de-web and get rid of sacs and accidentally open one and have the spiders come out.”
There was an alternative remedy from this viewer: “Rather spray weekly with natural peppermint and cedar.”
