Princess Beatrice, 34, is currently mourning for her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, who died on September 8 at the age of 96. Beatrice and her husband of two years, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, attended the Lying-in-State procession today for the late monarch.

Edoardo accessorised with a pin which demonstrated his deep love for his Princess.

In what was a lovely touch, Edoardo wore the same tie pin he wore for the Platinum Jubilee Service and his 2020 wedding.

According to Twitter account @CoutureRoyals, it features a monogram and cypher of an interlocked B and E.

These initials represent Beatrice and Edoardo, who have been in a relationship since 2019.

In another sweet touch, the initials B and E form the shape of a bee.

This is Princess Beatrice’s nickname, who is known by close friends and family as Bea.

The pin also contained Beatrice’s coronet on top.

This was a lovely gesture from Edoardo to his wife of two years.

Royal fan @Poshwonderland took to Twitter saying: “That’s amazing.”

Another account, @ThoughtMiss added: “I like this man. He seems sincerely in love with his wife and cares deeply for her family.”

Twitter account @NorthernEostre commented: “Edo is such a good and decent fellow, bless him.”

Both Princess Beatrice and her younger sister Princess Eugenie appeared emotional throughout the occasion and were pictured wiping tears away.

The Princesses also looked distraught as they walked hand-in-hand scanning the flowers and messages of condolence left by royal fans in Balmoral at the weekend.

Beatrice and Eugenie were seen quietly walking down the gates of Balmoral, showing each other support by holding hands.

Both looked very solemn and were wearing black to signify mourning, as were the other members of the Royal Family present.

Princess Beatrice was seen wiping from her eyes as she read the tributes left for the Queen at the Aberdeenshire estate.

Both sisters appeared deeply touched by the public’s outpouring of love for their late grandmother and were seen smiling sorrowfully as they read some of the messages left for the late Monarch.

Beatrice shared a sweet bond with the late monarch, who was present at her wedding to Italian property developer Edo on July 17, 2020 at Royal Lodge. The Queen not only attended Beatrice’s nuptials at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, but she also generously lent her own tiara and vintage dress to the bride.

Beatrice’s hastily-arranged ceremony was attended only by close friends and family following the cancellation of a larger wedding in May due to lockdown.

The Princess was adamant her beloved grandparents should have the opportunity to see her exchange her vows with Edo, so she chose the Chapel of All Saints where the Queen often attended services.
