I live full-time in a lorry with my dog to save cash – it’s small but it’s got what I need & the money will set me up | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed how she lives full-time in a lorry with her dog to save money on paying expensive rent or a mortgage.

Jessica McKinney works as a truck driver, so it’s very handy to have everything she needs with her at all times.

On her @beautifulbadasstrucker account, she gave a tour around her unique tiny home and why she decided to move in full-time.

She explained: “So I live in my truck.

“I moved out of my house and I’m just living in my truck making money.”

Jessica admitted that some people may criticise her life, but she’s very happy with the situation.

She said: “I know lots of you are gonna say well that's not a life, but it’s a life for me, I have my dog.

“A lot of you guys have been saying how big my sleeper looks so I thought I would go ahead and give you guys a tour.”

Jessica showed how she had added carpets to the truck to make it feel more homely, and also put in workout equipment to “stay fit on the road.”

She shared how she has a vacuum and broom to keep her space clean, which is particularly important with having her German Shepherd living in there with her.

The truck driver said: “Then I got two drawers for my clothes.

“Then I got my little vanity table, this table actually moves out so you have more space to cook on and all that.”

Her meals are cooked in an air fryer, microwave, or grill, and she has a supply of seasoning to make her meals tasty.

Fresh items are kept in her mini fridge and there are tiny storage areas for extra belongings.

Finally there’s a laundry basket for her dirty clothes and a shower bag for her supplies.

Many people praised her lifestyle choice, with one saying: “Save as much money as you can while you don't have rent or a mortgage.

“You're in a great position to set up your finances for the future.”

Another added: “Funny how others determine what a persons life should look like. Be happy, be financially secure, be you! Go girl!!!”

And a third commented: “You are awesome!”
