I saved hundreds on my wedding by bagging fake flowers from Shein & Ikea for my bouquets & it turned out amazing | The Sun

WEDDINGS are typically very expensive, but one woman managed to save thousands on flowers thanks to some bargain buys from Shein and Ikea.

Taking to TikTok, bride-to-be Alannah Pummell, from Norfolk, shared how she used fake flowers to create bouquets for her and her bridesmaids.

On average, people spend around £850 on wedding flowers, but Alannah, a 2023 bride, managed to do it for a fraction of the price.

In the clip, she said: "Today's the day we turn these flowers I bought from Shein and Ikea into our bridesmaid bouquets."

The excited bride-to-be used a mixture of different flowers to create 'that wildflower, Bridgerton look.'

She started by selecting the flowers she wanted in each bouquet, using a variety of small and big flowers with greenery to create 'floaty and florally' bouquet for each bridesmaid.

The money-saving whizz then tapped the stems with floristry tape and lots of hot glue to make sure they didn't come undone.

Next was deciding the colour of the ribbon, and Alannah settled on sage green.

The results looked stunning and it would be hard to tell the flowers were fake.

A pack of fake flowers from Shein typically costs around £2 meaning the bride saved hundreds of pounds.
