I was a teen mum at 15 & don’t recommend it at all… I never see my mates & I’m always skint, I would not do it again | The Sun

A 16-YEAR-OLD mum has revealed why she would never recommend anyone becoming a parent during their teenage years.

Although the parent, who gave birth at 15, loved her baby, she admitted that it's not always the fairy tale that many tend to assume it to be.

''I see all the time people saying they want to be a teen mum – and just don't do it,'' the young teenager urged on TikTok.

''People will say to you 'It gets easier', but it doesn't.''

Sharing a little glimpse of her everyday life as she was cleaning up the mess in the room, the mum said that ''it's just gone ten times harder'' over the years.

Being a mum is not just cuddles and adorable giggles that make you smile – the 16-year-old teen said she now has to be ''selfless'', as the tot is her ''life''.

''You can't see you friends as much, you have to turn down plans, you have to worry about money.''

She went on: ''Finances, what the baby needs, lack of sleep.

''I did my GCSEs with a one-year-old – and trust me, it was not fun.''

The pregnancy also affected her mental health, as she then battled a post-partum depression – something that affects one in every ten mums, Hollywood celebrity Chrissy Teigen included.
