I was sick of staring at next door's drain pipe so transformed my windows for just £6 and my hallway looks much better | The Sun

A DIY pro has revealed how she was sick of staring into her neighbour’s house, so decided to transform her UPVC windows on the cheap.

Gemma Gee took to Facebook to share before and after pictures, revealing how she upgraded a window in her hallway with film designed to look like colourful stained glass.

Posting in the DIY On A Budget Official, she said: “A bit of window film to say goodbye to the neighbours and their drainpipe!

“It was made to measure from Purlfrost – I highly recommend them!”

In the comments, she added: “This window is West facing.

"I feel like it's diffused the light slightly as obviously, the glass is no longer clear, but certainly doesn't feel dark and 100% worth it for the privacy and change of view.”

Alongside, the DIY pro shared a range of pictures, showing what her window looked like before.

Through the glass, she is able to see through three of her neighbour’s windows, and a large black drainpipe.

She then reveals what it looks like after she’d applied it, now decorated with a range of blue, yellow and purple shapes.

Shoppers can buy the same film on the Purlfrost website, with prices starting at just £13.75.
