I'm 43 and proud to have curves and a mom tum, trolls say I'm 'too old' to wear low cut dresses but I don't care | The Sun

A CURVY mom has hit back at a social media troll who slammed her decision to wear an off-shoulder mini dress.

She was disgusted after reading a hateful comment left underneath a video of her trying on a stylish party dress.

Ainsley (@ainsleyfunmum) has garnered over 25,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares fashion and beauty shopping hauls.

The size 12 mom had been all smiles when she first took to the social media platform dancing in a sparkly Grace Karin dress with a low-cut neckline.

Despite receiving many compliments from viewers, she soon became furious after spotting an ageist comment from an online troll.

“Too old to wear that,” they wrote alongside an embarrassed face emoji.

“I am proud of how I look and I will wear what I want when I want.

“If I want to wear my hair different, I will have it different. If I want to wear wacky makeup, I will wear wacky makeup.

“As long as I’m happy it doesn’t matter.

“Where’s the women supporting women gone? Where’s the kindness in this world gone?

“Think about these comments that people put up because you know what there are so many youngsters watching this.

“They should be happy in their own skin whether they are a size six or they are a size 30, be kind.”

Ainsley was visibly frustrated as she changed into a sports bra and figure-hugging leggings.

She continued to rage about having the free will to wear whatever she wanted regardless of her age.

She then changed into a third outfit with a basic bodysuit teamed with a belted beige mini skort.

“What about this? Am I too old to wear a skort and a bodysuit?” she asked.

“In your eyes probably, but listen the reason I’m rattled is because there are so many youngsters on here who watch videos and they are influenced.

“We should be body confident and happy in our own skin.

“We should be promoting kindness, confidence in women and it’s that age-old saying you know when someone says ‘you look good for your age?’

“No, I look good. Age is not important in any of this.

“I’m wearing a skort, I’m a size 16 [US12], I’m a curvy woman. So what?”

Ainsley attempted to provoke the troll further by asking them to share an opinion of her fluorescent pink strapless dress.

She clapped sarcastically as she congratulated the troll on getting “five minutes of fame” with their horrid comment.

She then changed into an oversized turtleneck sweater with black leggings for a very modest contrast to her previous outfits.

“This is probably what you expect me to wear,” she said. “And it is something that I wear but it’s not what I wear all the time.

“If I want to dress up and be glitzy, I’m going to dress up and be glitzy.

“It’s not my problem that you are so insecure with yourself that you need to bully others. Bye-bye troll, congratulations.”

Ainsley urged her followers to encourage other women to be themselves while saying everyone should embrace their own body shape.

Hundreds of people liked the video and showed their support for Ainsley by praising her response to the troll.

Many viewers attempted to reassure her and said they would also wear the sparkly dress regardless of their age.

“I’ve got that Grace Kari dress plus the Scot skirt, the wet look trousers, and bodysuit. I’m 55, I wear what I want not what others think I should wear,” one person commented.

“I think you look stunning in that dress f**k the trolls,” another wrote.

“You look amazing! Good on you for calling them out!” a third chimed in.

“I’m 47 and I am sooo with you!! You look bloody fabulous” a fourth said.

“I’ve got this dress in green and I’m almost 45. Where is the kindness indeed? Ps you look superb,” another added.
