A STYLE expert has revealed how to look taller when you are petite with short legs.
YouTuber Dearly Bethany gave three easy tricks that will give you the appearance of having longer legs.
In a video that has racked up over 100,000 views, the fashion expert said: “Whether you are short or not, your leg length might be much different than your top half.
“For me, I have short legs and I’m petite, so it’s sort of a double whammy when it comes to trying to make outfits work for my proportions.
“So I have to be really inventive about how I pair pieces together, so I feel like it represents me in the best way possible.

Crop It and Drop It
Bethany said that her first tip is to wear crop tops or trousers where the hem line goes below or at your shoes.
She explained: “What that does is it makes the line between your top half and your bottom half rise upward, and then you can have your legs look even longer that way.”
She advises adding a cardigan and jacket or if you don't want to “show your booty.”

Define your waist
4Bethany advised defining your waist with a belt or a belted trench coat.
She said: “One thing that I love to do is I have a trench where I have a belt to really bring it inwards, from there the line of the legs is cascading down with this beautiful long trench.
“Wrap dresses do the same beautifully.”

She said if you do have a belt, you can raise it slightly higher to accentuate the look.
She explained: “Bring the belt up a little bit, maybe even an inch or two is what it really takes, and that makes the legs look so much longer than they did before.”
Be matchy matchy
The style expert recommended starting from the bottom up when it comes to your look.
She explained: “Think about your shoe colour, match that to your pant colour.
“We can really work with monochrome and we can bring that colour all the way up.
