I’m plus-size – I tried on 5 top-rated swimsuits to see what they looked like on my body, including Good American | The Sun

WHEN you're shopping for swimwear, finding something that you don't need to constantly adjust is just as important as style.

A YouTuber compared the look and practicality of five swimsuits from different brands.

Plus-size YouTuber Sierra Schultzzie tried on five top-rated swimsuits from different brands, includingKhloe Kardashian's Good American.

Sierra explained that she only considered swimwear that had at least five top reviews, and an overall rating of at least four stars.

For her first look, the YouTuber modeled Aerie's crossover high cut cheeky bikini bottom and the matching tie back scoop top, both of which are available for $25 each.

"It fits great, the top is super adjustable, it has adjustable straps and also the back band ties. So I was able to make it fit me perfectly," Sierra said as she tried on the bikini.

The YouTuber then tried out the practicality of her look by wearing the swimwear to the beach.

"I think this top especially would be better suited for the pool or just more low impact water activities. It didn’t feel the most secure it moved around a lot," Sierra told her viewers, after a day at the beach.

For her next look, the YouTuber tried on an $88 periwinkle bikini top and the $68 high waist matching swim skirt from Albion.

"For $150 for the set, I expected so much more than this. I think the ruffle is really cute, the color is great. The top does feel pretty supportive but I feel like the fit and the fabric overall is not a hit," she said.

After trying the Albion set out at the beach, Sierra gave her final thoughts.

"This swim skirt did not fair well in the ocean. The first 30 minutes I was readjusting it the entire time. As cute as I felt in this before I got in, it does not work in the actual water," she concluded.

The YouTuber added: "The top I love, I have zero complaints."

Sierra then modeled the Good American Showoff one piece, which cost $109.

"I love this suit from the underwire down. Just a super cute fit, full coverage on the back. The belt really gives a cinching effect, the material is just buttery soft," she told her viewers.

However, Sierra did have a problem with the fit of the swimsuit around her bust.

She explained that the straps were "These teeny tiny straps are just so finnicky. They're just so thin they’re not really giving enough support for me."

After wearing the one piece at her pool and while playing with her young child in the garden, Sierra gave her overall thoughts.

"This swimsuit actually worked out better than I expected. Yes these straps are too thin, these cups are not properly sized for my body but I felt pretty good in this. It stayed in place relatively well," she said.

Next, Sierra tried on Old Navy's $17 yellow and white striped bikini top and $15 matching bottoms.

"This is a hit. I love this swimsuit. The second I put it on I was like ‘this sits greats, this feels great, this looks great.’ There is literally nothing I would change about this," she said during her initial try on.

Given her high praise, Sierra decided to give the Old Navy suit a difficult test by wearing it to a waterpark.

After returning home, the YouTuber said: "This swimsuit was super comfortable and low maintenance all day, even on the water slides."

For her final look, Sierra modeled Summersalt's $67 colorblock one-shoulder swimsuit.

"This is an interesting swimsuit. The material on this is fantastic, it’s very similar to the Good American material in that it feels thick but not heavy, it’s soft, it’s buttery," she said.

However, the YouTuber had some concerns about a potential wardrobe malfunction due to the one shoulder cut.

After wearing the swimsuit to a pool day, Sierra worries were confirmed.

She said: "If this was a little loose before, it’s 10,000 times looser now. The second I swim or even just go under water or literally do anything in the water with this top it folds over."
