I’ve been left with a weird circle between my boobs after laser hair removal – people think it's a tattoo but I hate it | The Sun

A WOMAN has recounted the story of how she got a red circle burned into the skin right between her boobs when she went for a laser hair removal session.

Dressed in a light grey ribbed vest top with a pair of baby blue jeans, the brunette beauty explained that she’s been getting laser hair removal done for years and “knows the drill”.

Amelia Liana said that while she’s smiling for the TikTok clip, she’s “really annoyed and really sad” about what happened during this unfortunate incident.

“The embarrassing part of the story is that I did have a hair between my boobs that I wanted to laser off,” she told viewers before sharing that she’s both Middle Eastern and Indian, “so I have two very strong, thick hair genes – it does not look good”.

Pulling her vest down just a little to show the red circle on her skin, she then started to share her story.

She said: “So you know when you go to get laser they put white marker on you to allocate different spaces on your body where you’re going to get lasered?

“I thought putting a white eyeliner pencil was the same thing as putting a lip liner on, so when I went to the salon to do my random little hairs on my body, I lip linered around the hair.

“…Not knowing that this would pick up as a colour pigment.”

Amelia then explained that the woman who was doing the procedure on her had been working at the salon for five years and knows that “you should not be tanned and you should not have pigment on your body”.

“I knew I shouldn’t be tanned, but I did not know about the pigment on my body and it makes sense looking back now because it’s like having makeup on and lasering over your makeup,” she said.

The TikTok user went on: “What she should have done is wipe the lip liner and put white marker on, but she didn’t. She lasered over the lip liner, causing me to have this burn on my skin, which was so incredibly painful for two days.

“It’s small but it’s mighty!”

Amelia then recounted the “weird” moment that happened as she got dressed.

“She turned to me and said, ‘don’t come back and say that I burned you,’ and I thought that was a really strange thing to say,” she explained. “I turned around to her and said, ‘of course you haven’t burned me, don’t be silly, I don’t know why you’d say that’.

“When I got home, I felt my skin burning. It was so itchy and so sore. I took off my top and saw that all of this was red and there was a black burn mark around the line.

“And the same had happened on my bikini line.”

She’s since gone to her GP to get a prescription pill for burns, but also asked her viewers for their thoughts on what happened to her.

“I haven’t heard from the salon, even though I called them later that day to speak to her. They said she would call me back and she never did. I put in a complaint to the salon and I haven’t heard back from their management team yet,” she continued.

Amelia added: “I don’t really know what to do now and would love to know your thoughts. But I’m probably going to have this scar for life.”

Attempting to look on the positive side of what happened, one person shared: “On the bright side, it kind of looks like a purposefully places tattoo hahha”.

“Hahah maybe I can get away with that excuse instead,” Amelia joked back.

Another person said: “I’m sorry this happened to you! BUT, it actually looks kind of super nice and unique, almost like some kind of magical birth mark”.
