Meghan Markle is renowned for her sense of style and often lavish outfits. For the National Service of Thanksgiving over the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, the Duchess stepped out in a pearl coloured coat dress. Experts at Insurance Provider SO-SURE calculated the insurance value of this look – and it was far from cheap.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out at the National Service of Thanksgiving on June 3, 2022.

She wore a coat dress and pumps, with a skirt and top underneath, and accessorised with gloves, a hat, dainty diamond earrings and a bangle.

According to the experts, the insurance value of this entire look would be a whopping £19,974.40 – despite its aura of simplicity.

The main component of her look was the Dior Haute Couture Trench Coat In Greige – a combination of grey and beige – by Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Experts at SO-SURE suggested that the off-white coat cost around £3,400.

It was a heavy garment which boasted a thick collar buttoned at the neck.

The coat dress was fastened on one side meaning the bodice and skirt were slightly asymmetrical.

It was a rather boxy style however there was some dimension created with a belt in the same colour, which nipped Meghan in at the waist.

The House of Dior confirmed that Meghan also wore a coordinating wool-silk blend skirt and an organza shirt underneath.

Meghan paired these with Dior’s ‘D’Moi’ Pumps, also in greige, which SO-SURE suggested would be priced at £680.

The Duchess’ hat was also a show stopper, made bespoke at Stephen Jones Millinery.

Meghan’s exact hat is no longer available, but the ones currently stocked on the website are priced between £1,560 and £3,780.

Her earrings were undoubtedly the most expensive part of her Platinum Jubilee look.

The Maison Birks Snowflake Diamond Earrings in White Gold cost an incredible C$15,100 (around £9747).

The official description reads: “Inspired by the icy beauty of Canadian winters, these 2.15ct diamond earrings are crafted in 18kt white gold.

She also donned one of her favourite bracelets – the Cartier ‘Love’ Yellow Gold Bracelet.

This iconic bracelet is currently priced at £6,350, with the smaller model available for £4,100.

The official description reads: “Created in New York in 1969, the LOVE bracelet is an icon of jewellery design: a close fitting, oval bracelet composed of two rigid arcs which is worn on the wrist and removed using a specific screwdriver.

“The closure is designed with two functional screws placed on either side of the bracelet: you will need help to open or close it.”

It is also available in both Rose Gold, priced at £6,350, and White Gold, £6,800.
