Mum-of-six shares cheap washing hack which means her whole family haven't lost a sock in months – and it’s dead easy | The Sun

A SAVVY mum has revealed how she manages to never lose any socks when doing laundry, and it's really simple to do.

As a mum-of-six, socks would often go missing in her home, leaving her brood with loads odd pairs.

But the mum, from Sydney, Australia, revealed now none of her kids ever lose socks thanks to the hack she now swears by.

All you need are a few laundry bags to keep socks and delicates safe before putting them into the washing machine.

The trick is easy enough that anyone can do it, and the mum claims her whole family haven't lost any socks in months thanks to the trick.

Positing on Facebook, she revealed she bought a laundry bag for each of her kids to keep their underwear and socks in.

"I have endless piles of single socks, and I was tired of matching socks and also remembering who belongs to whom," she explained.

The bags are also labelled so they're easy to keep organised and the socks never get mixed up.

After sharing the easy hack on social media other parents praised the easy laundry hack.

One commented on the post: "Genius, I have four girls and they can never seem to find a pair of socks and I have two laundry baskets full of socks and jocks."

A second called the mum a "hero" because of the hack.

And a third said: "I've been doing this for years! It's the best."

You can buy mesh laundry bags online from Amazon for as little as £3.99 for a pack of three, or even on Shein for £2, so you don't have to spend a fortune either.

Previously, the mum revealed she also puts her kids' clothes on hangers as soon as they're dry.

This means the clean laundry can go straight into their wardrobes, rather than piling up and getting mixed together.
