My ‘fairy god ex’ spent £10k on gifts before brutally dumping me because of his mum – at least I got something out of it | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed how her ex-boyfriend spent a staggering £10,000 on gifts before brutally dumping her because of his mum's opinion of her.

Pia Blossom took to TikTok to open up about the story, admitting his behaviour had proved to her once again that "men are confusing".

"This is how a man spent £10,000 and £15,000 breaking up with me," she began.

"To set the scene, obviously this guy had money – he wasn’t broke.

"I gathered he was very comfortable from the kind of car he had, the kind of things he would take me to do – like we would go and stay at the Savoy for no occasion whatsoever.

"Anyway, the week of the breakup, he started buying me loads of stuff, which was really weird."

As well as taking Pia on a "super spontaneous weekend away", he then tried to "replace" all of her stuff when they got back.

"He’d said for a while that he didn’t like my wardrobe, he didn’t like my bed, he didn’t like my mirror, and also my bookcase," she explained.

"Because a lot of the things I’d bought for where I live now, I bought in a rush because I needed to move fast, so I just went to Ikea and bought a load of flatpack furniture.

"It was never meant to be my forever stuff.

"He said he didn’t like me using all that rubbish chipboard stuff.

"So in this last week, he tried to replace all of my furniture.

"He bought me a new wardrobe, a new mirror, new bookcase. Even the chairs in my place – he replaced them all.

Pia added that while she didn't know why at the time, he appeared to be "in a hurry" to deck her flat out – even hiring a van and driving to the depot himself at one point to pick up a piece that hadn't arrived.

"Also, while this was happening, he ordered me all of the parts to build me a PC," she continued.

"I didn’t have a PC and I'd talked for ages about wanting to be a Twitch streamer, wanting to stream games, because I used to play on a s**ty little laptop.

"He was like, ‘Right, I’m going to get you a PC.

"And he got me a beast PC setup.

"He spent about £3,000, £3,500 on my PC."

And it was the day after that he decided to call time on their relationship.

"I obviously thought things were going great because I was like, ‘Why would you buy me all this stuff and then break up with me?' Pia explained.

"'That’s so weird'.

"And he was like, ‘Oh, I just wanted to sort out your flat and stuff before I went.

"'And also you’d said for ages about wanting to be a streamer so I thought that would keep you occupied if you’re sad or whatever'."

When Pia questioned why he was breaking up with her, he told her it was because his mum and entire family didn't like her.
