My hands-off hack is a 'genius solution' for trapping slugs in your flowerbed – it's chemical free and doesn't harm them | The Sun

EVERY gardener knows the hassle of fending off slugs from your flowerbeds.

A content creator revealed the hands-off hack he uses to trap garden pests.

TikTok account Allot Me (@allotme_uk) credited fellow TikToker Gary Pilarchik (@therustedgarden) with the handy trick.

In the video, the expert explained: "This is the most effective way to capture snails and slugs without using any harsh chemicals, good, bad, or ugly."

The green-thumbed influencer showed viewers how to use two clay-potted plants to capture slugs and snails.

"Fill the first pot halfway with soil, flip it over, soak it down, and then just put the second pot on top so it stays moist," he said.

The TikToker told viewers: "You’ve got to place this on the north side of the building, where it stays cold."

He added: "The slugs enter through the hole making the traps really easy."

The gardening fanatic showed his audience all the slugs trapped on the inside of his pots.

The content creator recommended emptying the pots every morning.
