Parents rush to Sainsbury’s to pick up the perfect school dresses for summer and they’re scanning for a total steal | The Sun

PARENTS are scrambling to get to their local Sainsbury's store to bag a bargain deal for summer.

It's no secret that we love a bargain, especially when it comes to school supplies.


And one mum has shared a bargain buy found in Sainsbury's for those struggling with the cost of school uniforms for the summer.

Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Rachel revealed she found a bunch of school dresses scanning for just £1.

In the post, she shared a snap of the two styles of dresses on offer.

They had the normal collared checkered dress as well as a dress with a white top and checkered skirt.

The bargain hunter said: "Sainsbury's last years stock (of) summer dresses."

While she shared a snap of the red ones, she revealed they also had them in blue and green.

She added that the checkered dress was on sale for two for £1 and the white top dress was £1 each.

The dresses were a bargain as the checkered one was originally £14 and the white top version was £7.

The mum revealed that one Sainsbury's employee told her the sale was across all stores in the country that still had old stock.

And the sale comes at the perfect time as bills such as water, broadband, and council tax have increased yet again.

It'll come as good news to parents who spent on average £255 a year on primary school uniforms according to one government report titled school uniform costs in England.

The post has since garnered the attention of plenty of parents and many can't wait to get down to Sainsbury's to find the school dresses before summer starts.

One wrote: "I'll have a look. Thank you."

Another person commented: "Worth a try for the girlies."

"I’ll have a look," penned a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Could you look for these please if you go to a Sainsbury's."
