Prince Harry WILL return to UK days before anniversary of Queen’s death… but is SNUBBED from family gathering | The Sun

PRINCE Harry will be in the UK just days before the anniversary of the Queen's death – despite being snubbed from the family gathering.

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this month that the Duke of Sussex, 38, and wife Meghan Markle had not been invited to the Firm's get-together to honour the late monarch.

And the Prince has now revealed he will be in the UK for a charity awards ceremony – on the eve of the Queen's death.

Her Majesty died "peacefully" on September 8 last year.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to mark the poignant anniversary at Balmoral surrounded by family.

It was initially revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be in  Europe for the Invictus Games a day after the anniversary.

But Prince Harry today said he will back in London to attend a ceremony for an event for WellChild, a charity for seriously ill children.

He has been a patron of the not-for-profit organisation for 15 years, and often heads along to their events.

Harry is expected to spend time with each winner and their families ahead of the celebration, before presenting the award for Inspirational Child and delivering a speech.

And while Meghan has attended ceremonies in the past, she is not expected to head along this year.

Earlier this month sources told The Sun there had been no “outreach” from senior royals to the US-based Sussexes about the anniversary of the Queen's death.

Harry and Meghan, who quit Britain in 2020 and have since repeatedly slammed the Royal Family, are due to kick off the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf 24 hours later.

They could easily be in the UK to mark the occasion.

But insiders revealed the pair, who live in Montecito, California, with their two kids, have not been invited to any public or private commemorations.

A source said: “There hasn’t been any outreach to them.”

Charles had even buried the hatchet with Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his HRH title last year by the Queen amid his sexual assault case.

It comes just days after a Royal expert claimed the Sussexes would want to attend the King's birthday – but he'd tell them to "get lost".
