Princess Leonor’s mysterious necklace could have been a gift from special royal

Princess Leonor is King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain’s first daughter and the next Queen of Spain.

The young royal graduated from school over the weekend and her proud parents and her sister Sofia attended her graduation ceremony in Wales, where they looked happier than ever posing for pictures.

Princess Leonor looked beautiful in a red mini dress from Spanish brand Apparentia, silver pumps and a matching clutch bag, and she wore her mysterious gold necklace, one of her favourite designs.

The delicate gold chain features the word “hubb” which means “love” in Arabic adorned with a small diamond. Princess Leonor is known to be fluent in Arabic, English and French, as well as Catalan and Chinese.

The Spanish Princess has been seen donning the gold necklace on many occasions recently, the first one during a family holiday in Majorca last year, but the origin of the jewel is still unknown.

Reports suggested that the necklace could have been a gift from her grandfather, the former King Juan Carlos, who currently lives in Abu Dhabi. Princess Leonor and her grandfather are believed to be very close.

Others suggested that it could be a gift from a “special friend”. Last year, reports claimed Leonor was dating Barcelona football player Gavi.

During her stay in Wales, however, the Princess of Spain was “very much in love” with a Brazilian student, according to royal analyst Pilar Eyre, but more recently some suggested a relationship between the Princess of Spain and Moulay Hassan, the Prince of Morocco.

The Spanish royals attended Leonor’s graduation ceremony, known as the “Leavers celebration”, which took place at the impressive boarding school in Wales.

Princess Leonor has been living in Wales and studying at the exclusive UWC Atlantic College for the last two years.

When collecting the diploma, the tutor dedicated a few words to the young Princess and said: “Your love of meaningful conversations knows no bounds.

“Your unwavering passion for learning, understanding people, and exploring diverse perspectives has truly enriched your UWC experience. We will miss your sense of humour.”

Royal fans took to social media to praise Leonor’s graduations style, and @‌tashas_2000 said: “Love it! Fun, fresh and totally appropriate for the occasion.”

Instagram user @‌llint3 commented: “These young ladies always look so classy and still youthful. Absolutely love the family photos.”

“Leonor left home a very young-looking teenager and she returned so grown up. Her parents must be so emotional to see their girls growing up. She looks beautiful. Hope she enjoyed her studies abroad,” @‌luxmeagainpreloved added.
