Sophie Wessex looked chic at the Presidential Palace in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as she met with President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde.

The Countess looked elegant in a white blazer, white blouse and strawberry cream skirt.

Her blouse had a deep V-neck, showcasing her “Love the Life You Live, Live the Life You Love pendant”.

She went for a stunning midi-skirt by Maison Valentino. It is currently not available on the website.

However, the two other midi-skirt styles available at Valentino are £1,490, so it could be assumed that Sophie’s skirt is roughly around the same price.

The skirt was a strawberry cream colour and boasted lots of pleats to give it extra dimension and volume.

All over the skirt there were flecks of what appeared to be purple and green.

As for accessories, Sophie went for a relatively minimalistic look, with all beige and white pieces.

This included her Moneypenny Bag in Beige by Sophie Habsburg, costing $310 (around £269.75).

It is stocked in several colours including Blood, Camouflage, Red Sprinkle, Emerald and Nearly Black – among others.

It is a clutch bag with a front flap closure and geometric pattern across the front.

For footwear she opted for her Penelope Chilvers High Mary Jane Leather Espadrilles in white.

These boasted a sweet ankle strap and was described on the official website as follows: “Our white leather Mary Jane wedge espadrille forms a part of our much-loved leather espadrille range – a constant throughout our summer collections.

“This high wedge style is made for us by skilled Spanish artisans in the traditional way with authentic hand stitching and woven meccanica detail.

“The Mary Jane is an established classic design with closed front and back that will carry you through the warmer days of spring into the heat of the summer.”

She appeared to wear a pair of plain drop earrings, and the standout accessory was the Cassandra Goad pendant she has been wearing a lot during her tour.

Maxwell Stone, creative director at jewellers Steven Stone, explained the possible significance of the jewel to Express.co.uk.

He stated: “The Bob Marley quote – ‘Love the life you live, live the life you love’ – has an air of optimism about it and is a touching choice from the royal, who is still mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II, as it refers to being thankful for and nurturing the life you were given.”

The necklace costs £865, and is sold separately from the chain, of which there is a variety.

Sophie Wessex fan @emm_a_lire told Instagram: “Love the blouse.” @alishilde added: “That skirt is SO PRETTY.”

@alexcat713 added: “Love seeing Sophie. Hope the King realises what a jewel she is.”
