The woman had never been inside her boyfriend's family home before, and with the unfortunate passing of his mothers death, helped her boyfriend look at the house the pair inherited.

She then showed viewers the extent of his mum's hoarding, the front room was piled up high with items she had collected over the years making it impossible to even get inside.

After making their way through the front room, the couple had to release rodent bombs to ensure there weren't any unwelcome guests inside the home.

Once they had made their way inside the house, the couple decided to clear each room one by one so that her boyfriend could go through the belongings and keep those he held dearest.

There was also plenty of incredible antique finds the pair came across for them to hold onto as keepsakes or sell on.

After clearing out all of the items and separating them into trash or keepsakes, the pair then tackled their biggest challenge – cleaning.

Of course, his mum would have found it difficult to clean with the amount of items stowed in her home so it was in a good need of a scrub.

In one clip, the couple took on the bathroom, which was covered in black dirt.

She penned: "We started making videos to share our unusual circumstances. Inheriting a hoarder house has been one hell of a ride to say the least."

The couple revealed that his mum had started placing dishes and other dining ware in the bath tub years ago because the sink was overflowing with them, which in turn forced her son to move out of the family home.

She added: " I honestly didn't know the extent of her hoarding until she passed away and we inherited the house.

"She just would never let me set foot in the house or open it up enough for me to see."

The videos shared to the couples TikTok account @theschmitzshow have gone viral with over 114k likes.

Many were quick to praise the couple for their hard work in such a difficult time.

One person wrote: "Oh my, following so I can see the after. Good luck."

Another commented: "Be careful what you throw out!!! There is money to be made there."
