FORMER Love Island contestants have revealed what life is like in the nation's most famous villa.

It's the time all of us have been patiently waiting for all year – the annual return of ITV's Love Island.

Although the show is now in full-force, with drama already keeping fans entertained, Love Island still remains full of mysteries, with the nation wondering what life is truly like in the most famous villa.

Luckily, former contestants, such Amy Hart and Chloe Burrows, have shared the secrets of the show, which is watched by millions across the world.

Appearing on Kiss Fresh, Chloe, who starred in the 2021 series, revealed which items the islanders are not allowed to take with themselves into the villa.

Amongst these, the stunner revealed, was fake tan and eyelash extensions.

The '“fake tan and eyelash till I die” lover said she was in shock upon learning this when entering the show, where the crew explained that the tanning products would ruin the bedsheets.

''Obviously, imagine that on TV – bright pink stains everywhere from where I've been laying.

''And then eyelash extensions because of Covid.''

Learning the latter had been particularly unfortunate for Chloe who said that all of her extensions had fallen out and she was left with no lashes.

Another contestant, Amy Hart who joined the series in 2019, took it to social media to answer questions left by fans curious of the day-to-day life in the villa.

For those, who like the majority want to find out if the Love Islanders are allowed to smoke or vape whilst on the show, Amy said there was a limit.

Although vaping wasn't ''a thing'' back when Amy entered the villa, contestants who fancied a cigarette, are allowed a maximum of ten a day.

''You could go sit out on the front on your own and there was a camera pointing at you and that was the only place that you were allowed to smoke.

''And you weren't allowed to take anything back into the villa – like, no lighters or anything.''

Similarly, when it comes to drinking, there are also strict rules in place.
