PEOPLE are transforming their boring basic gardens by hanging up decorative shower curtains. 

The trend has really picked up online with many sharing the life-like shower curtains they’ve been putting up in their gardens. 

One woman confessed her garden had become unrecognisable since making the change.

Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she shared a snap of her new backyard.  

She said: “Finally got round to putting my shower curtain up.”

The woman said the shower curtain had people convinced she was living in a different house when she uploaded it online.

She claimed: "I put a photo up and people think I moved home as the garden look so different."

It seems one scenic curtain has proved popular with homeowners. 

People are calling the shower curtain as a Greek Paradise. 

The colourful curtain features a scenic stone wall and window with bright blue shutters and pink flowers.

The original post racked up hundreds of likes and over 90 comments in less than 24 hours.

Using either staple gun or nails, many have been convering up boring shed’s and even fences. 

One user said: "I did mine too they’re great for brightening dull areas."

Another said: “I could see this as an idea for your back garden or a wall mural or something … I’m saying this now and your prob all over it already!"

“So much cheaper than replacing a fence panel,” a third user claimed. 

One user identified another problem with the trend particularly if you’re a pet owner.
