Ashley Graham has Jason Kennedy’s stamp of approval after her awkward Hugh Grant interview on the Oscars 2023 red carpet.

“Don’t worry @ashleygraham … now you see why Hugh Grant isn’t one of our favorites to interview live,” the entertainment journalist tweeted on Sunday.

“Well done working around his nonsense,” the 41-year-old continued.

When a Twitter troll wrote that Graham, 35, should have “been more strategic” in her interview with the actor, Kennedy came to her defense.

The E! personality clarified that there “weren’t … any number of other people to speak with,” adding, “It’s pre-produced for a broadcast like that, not her call.”

Graham’s stilted interaction with Grant went viral over the weekend, with clips circulating of the Golden Globe winner giving short, clipped answers to her questions and rolling his eyes.

The model reacted to the exchange in a TMZ interview the following day, saying her goal is to “kill people with kindness.”

Although the “American Beauty Star” host neglected to elaborate on Grant’s attitude, she gushed over the “good time” she had doing pre-show coverage for ABC.

The “Notting Hill” star, for his part, has yet to publicly address the viral moment.

Last week, Grant admitted to flipping out on a “nice local woman” on the set of his upcoming “Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” movie.
