Tennis pro Emma Raducanu gets ‘glow lights’ honey hair transformation

It’s game, set and match for tennis pro Emma Raducanu’s latest hair transformation, which sees her go from her trademark dark colour to a honey brunette shade for summer. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

Last time we saw the 19 year old she was wearing her hair in its usual shade of dark brown for Wimbledon, but now she’s decided to go for something a lot lighter for summer. Her hairstylist –John Clarkfrom London’s John Frieda salon– has taken to Instagram to share the makeover with fans, who seem to be loving the updated look.

“When @emmaraducanu asks you to make her hair lighter you definitely have fun doing it,” he captions the series of selfies of the champ. “I used the@johnfriedasalonsglow lights technique to lift her naturally very dark base to a multi-tonal brunette with lighter areas around the face and where the sunshine would naturally make it shimmer.”

If you haven’t heard of glow lights before, they’re set to be big this summer as stars like Emma, Ekin-Su from Love Island and Margot Robbie all opt to get these complexion-enhancing highlights. John Frieda, who has just launched a brand in-salon Glow Lights system, explains that this type of colour is “a bespoke technique tailored to your own personal hair canvas”.

“They offer sophisticated, beautifully defined, expensive hair. Much like a hydrating facial leaves skin glowing, glow lights give shine and a soft, blended and youthful result. Your colourist will do this by adding delicate pieces of colour, adding a beam of sun-kissed light around the face to brighten your complexion,” John Frieda adds.

Prices start from £230, and you’ll need maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks to ensure the tone of your hair stays clean and bright.

Emma isn’t the only celeb to have undergone a summer hair transformation in recent weeks. Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor has just swapped her trademark copper hair colour for a dark brown with curtain fringe – and the results are *chef’s kiss*.

It’s not clear if the hair transformation is in honour of a new role of Phoebe’s, or if she simply fancied a change to her usual beauty look. But either way, we’re sure you’ll agree that it suits her down to a tee. Don’t know about you, but the whole thing is kind of giving usBillie Eilishvibes
