Tesco shoppers rush to buy cosy winter essential scanning at tills for £6 instead of £26 | The Sun

TESCO shoppers have been rushing to buy a cosy winter essential that's scanning at the till for £20 less than its original price.

The major supermarket has slashed the price of its Silent Night Embossed Fleece Duvet to just £6.25.

One woman posted the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

She shared a photo of the bedding with a reduced to clear label showing the huge discount.

The savvy shopper called the find a "great deal" and fellow bargain hunters took to the comments to agree.

One wrote "this is so what I need", while another said "my daughter, she's three, has this duvet she loves it – it's sooo soft".

The duvet sets come in various different sizes, although it's not clear if the double and king size are also reduced to this low price.

You'll only be able to bag the bedding at this price at certain stores which are looking to clear stock.

Remember that stock and prices will vary from store to store.

It's worth calling ahead to your local Tesco to check their prices and stock to avoid disappointment.

You can find your closest store using the locator tool on its website.

It comes as temperatures have dropped again this week and people are looking for ways to stay warm without putting the heating on.

Cosy duvets and blankets like this can really help keep you warm but they can be pretty pricey.

Unsurprisingly, Tesco's price is the cheapest we could find for a fleeced duvet online.

Wayfair sells a similar Silentnight duvet set for £19.56 for a single.

We also found a teddy fleece duvet cover at Very.co.uk for £29.

As always before committing to a purchase we recommend having a shop around first – there's never a bad time to bag a bargain.

You can use handy tools like Google shopping to compare prices of online retailers to make sure you're getting the deal.
