Anthony Joshua told by Derek Chisora it will be 'GOOD' to get KO'd in Oleksander Usyk rematch rather than lose on points | The Sun

DEREK CHISORA reckons Anthony Joshua would be better of getting knocked out by Oleksander Usyk rather than losing on points again.

AJ was convincingly bettered over 12 rounds by Usyk last September and the pair are now set to rematch on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

And Chisora has urged his former Finchley Amateur Boxing team-mate to put all his chips in – even it if runs the risk of a KO loss.

Chisora, 37, told iFL TV: "Let me tell you something, if AJ gets knocked out it's good for him.

"If he loses on points, it's bad for him. If he loses on points, he's going to kick himself for the next 20 years.

"If he gets knocked out, he gets knocked out. You can't do anything if you get knocked out in the fifth round."

AJ’s new coach slams tactics for first Usyk fight but confident of revenge

Chisora, beaten by Usyk in 2020, gives the two-weight world champion only eight rounds to KO AJ.

But he believes the time frame actually suits Joshua, 32, better.

Chisora added: "In boxing, if you get knocked out it's a better way for you to go out but I don't think [that's how Usyk will win].

"Usyk can only knock AJ out in the later rounds but in the first eight he won't knock him out. AJ will knock him out."
