FURIOUS Arsenal fans fumed as Kai Havertz was benched.
The £64million summer arrival from Chelsea endured a slow start to life at the Emirates.
But his recent goals against Brentford and Lens have helped him win over supporters and build his own confidence.
However, Gunners fans were shocked to see him dropped to the substitutes for this afternoon's home clash with Wolves.
Havertz started in midfield with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard on Wednesday night.
But Leandro Trossard got the nod at the Emirates in Mikel Arteta's only change.

A fifth replied: "Havertz deserves a start tbh he was on a roll."
And a sixth typed: "Havertz benched the one game where we actually wanna see him."
Before last weekend, Havertz's only goal of the season had come from the penalty spot at Bournemouth.
But he sparked dramatic scenes at the Gtech Community Stadium and behind the scenes at the Match Of The Day studios when he came off the bench to nod in the 89th-minute.
And he followed it up with the opener as Arsenal thrashed Lens 6-0, confirming their progression into the Champions League knockouts as group winners.
However, there remains plenty of debate on his best position – especially after featuring at left-back for Germany.
Arteta has tended to play the big-money signing either up front or primarily as the left eight in the midfield three of his favoured 4-3-3 formation.
Former Arsenal man Paul Merson now wants the Emirates boss to move him.
Merson said: "Havertz is a confident player and he’s playing with confidence right now.
