    Zinchenko on Fulham win

Full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko has hailed Arsenal's 3-0 triumph at Fulham as "a perfect day".

Speaking after the game, he told the Gunners' club media: "Fulham are a very good team.

"They’ve played well this season, especially at home. We knew that they are so dangerous so we obviously prepared quite well.

"I think our first-half performance was quite good – we controlled almost everything on and off the ball.

"It’s a very important three points, a clean sheet. A perfect day for Gooners. Let’s keep going."

    One hundred not out

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta picked up his 100th win in charge on Sunday, as his side brushed past Fulham 3-0.

He has taken 168 matches to reach his century, giving him a 59.5 per cent win ratio.

Chatting about the achievement after the game, Arteta said: "To come here and perform the way we’ve done against a team like Fulham in this stadium, I think the players deserve a big compliment.

"With the way we played, the goals that we scored, the clean sheet and the determination and purpose that we showed today to play the way we want to play.

"It’s great (100 wins), we have to continue like that, I’m delighted to do that, unfortunately, it’s not a title, so there’s still a lot to improve!"

    'Changes its mind'

Arsenal fans were left gobsmacked after Granit Xhaka completed a "stupendous" pass to Bukayo Saka during the club's Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday.

The midfielder received the ball in the centre circle before playing a first-time pass out towards the right.

But just as it looked to be heading in the direction of right-back Ben White, the ball suddenly curled the other way and fell perfectly to the feet of Saka on the wing.

It ultimately led to one of many Arsenal attacks at Craven Cottage.

And fans were quick to praise Xhaka for his clever thinking.

One person tweeted: "Like watching a game of snooker. Class act."

Another added: "That was such a weirdly satisfying pass."

A third commented: "Saka thought he had to go meet the ball, only to realise the pass was so good all he had to do was wait."

    Gunners snubbed by wonderkid

Arsenal have reportedly been snubbed by the next "Luis Suarez".

The Gunners are said to be one of several clubs – including some of their Premier League rivals – tracking Athletico Paranaense forward Vitor Roque.

But their reported pursuit of the starlet has hit the rocks following interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.

That's according to Spanish newspaper Sport, who claim the 18-year has said "no" to the prospect of moving to the Emirates.

It's also said Roque is refusing to entertain other offers following the news of Barca's interest in acquiring his services.

    Fans marvel at Zinchenko torso

Arsenal fans were left in awe at Oleksandr Zinchenko's incredibly ripped body.

The Ukraine star, 26, got his kit off for the celebrations in the away dressing room at Fulham on Sunday.

In doing so, the full-back revealed his absolutely insane physique.

Zinchenko stood on the bench behind Gabriel Martinelli shouting excitedly and tensing his bulging biceps.

He posted the cryptic clock photo on Instagram and wrote: "Team 🔥🔥🔥 Important 3 points away from home! ✅ Clean sheet ✅ Brother is back ✅," tagging the returning Gabriel Jesus.

And it did not take long for fans to pile into the comments, praising the incredible Gun-ners show on display.

    Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal stars celebrated their win over Fulham by posing with a giant clock.

And fans reckon they have cracked the code already with a brilliant theory.

Arsenal’s clock hands were signalled at 11 and 2.

And fans believe it was code for “11 games 2 go” before the end of the season, with the Gunners having so far played 27 out of their 38 matches.

Not only did Arsenal run out 3-0 winners at Fulham, the return of Gabriel Jesus was a sight to behold for the away support.

The Brazilian returned to the first team fold after four months out following a knee injury.

And he is delighted to be back, as his latest tweet shows.

He tweeted: "So happy to be back. And feels like I never left…What a win from this group! Let's go, gunners!"

Leandro Trossard set a new Premier League record in Arsenal’s dominant win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Gunners fans are gushing over their January signing after he continued to make his mark in the club’s title push.

Having spent his first few games coming off the bench, the former Brighton man is now making his mark.

And he made his impact felt at the Cottage as he registered a stunning hat-trick of assists in the first half.

Opta revealed that it is the first time a player has managed three assists in the opening 45 of an away game in the history of the Premier League.

Trossard also became the first player since former Arsenal star Santi Carzola a decade ago to grab a hat-trick of goals and a hat-trick of assists in the same season following his goal spree at Anfield in October for Brighton.

Mikel Arteta has now recorded 100 wins as Arsenal boss – with the 3-0 win at Fulham.

After the game, the Spanish coach said: “I’m really happy that we won today, it’s the 100th (win for me) and hopefully there will be many more.

“It’s earning those wins and having a team that you feel that follows us in everything that we try to do.”

Pep Guardiola took a swipe at his Manchester City title-chasers after declaring Arsenal have shown more desire than them to win the Premier League.

Guardiola said: “They have gone many years without winning the Premier League and that has given them a little bit extra to win games, as they have after 93, 96, or 98 minutes.

“That desire is something they have that we don’t because we have won back-to-back titles.

Normally in this country, when you win something and then you don’t start the season well or another team is better, you drop this consistency.

“Arsenal are the favourites because they are in front, but still we are there. This is the best trophy, and I don’t know what is going to happen at the end of the season, but they know we want to be there. We will fight to be there, and this is great.

“The composure with which we played against Palace, the few chances we conceded and the desire to win the game – because we wanted to win this game to be close to Arsenal – that is the best thing for my team.”

    Redknapp lauds Arsenal's achievement

Jamie Redknapp believes if Arsenal win the league it will be considered one of the great Premier League achievements.

The pundit told Sky Sports: "Leicester was probably the most amazing Premier League title win ever and I don't think it will ever be beaten. But from where Arsenal were, if they were to win the title it would go down as one of the great Premier League achievements.

"It's so big how he's turned it around and done it so quickly. I'm talking about power of the people and I think when you've got that belief at the Emirates, there's such a positivity about the place. They believe in this team, they believe in the manager, and that helps so much.

"Even if they make a mistake they're still with the team, and the fact they scored a last minute winner. This is going to go right down to the last game possibly. They've got good fixtures coming up at the end of the season, who knows? I think that Man City away game is going to be so key."

    Balogun's message

Folarin Balogun has sent a strong message to Arsenal after making Ligue 1 history with Reims thanks to his goalscoring exploits.

Balogun has been on fire during his loan stint in France and has scored more goals than Paris Saint-Germain superstars Neymar and Lionel Messi.

The striker's success reached new heights as he set a league record with Will Still's team.

The forward has become the youngest player to score at least 16 goals in Ligue 1 in his first campaign since the 1960-1961 season.

Balogun reached that landmark at the age of 21 years and 252 days old.

The England Under-21 international, who is also eligible for USA and Nigeria, led Reims to a stunning 1-0 win at Monaco with a fine finish on 51 minutes.

That works as a powerful message to the Gunners from the youngster that could give manager Mikel Arteta something to think about.

    MOTD news

Gary Lineker will front the BBC’s FA Cup coverage next Saturday after the under fire host struck a deal with the BBC today.

The agreement will be announced tomorrow after tense talks, following a weekend of TV mayhem caused by the Nazi tweets row.

MPs and pals of Lineker will pore over the details to see who has backed down.

It risks a potentially explosive new row between the BBC and the Tory party if the star presenter has neither apologised or agreed to abide by impartiality rules in the future.

Director General Tim Davie has been under massive pressure to find a solution after schedules were hammered both yesterday and today.

A TV source said: “Gary will be back to host the BBC’s FA Cup coverage. A deal has been struck.

“If the BBC have agreed to allow him to keep tweeting his anti-Tory views, it will be seen as a major victory for Gary, but the details of the deal are unclear at this stage.”

    Trossard's 'intelligence' impresses Arteta

Mikel Arteta has praised Leandro Trossard for his football intelligence, after he was instrumental in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Fulham.

"He got three assists and could have scored two. I think he was really impressive,” Arteta said.

"Not only that, he had an injury three days ago which could have taken a week, or another 10 days, but he was really willing to come back early and the doctors and medical staff did a lot of good work.

"It makes a big difference in the team. We needed him today and his contribution was superb.

"It’s football intelligence. He’s really clever to understand straight away what we want, what’s required. He’s executed it really well."

And Gabriel Martinelli made it two on 26 minutes.

Arsenal's third Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus, is back on the bench today, his first appearance in the matchday squad since the World Cup.

    MOTD 2 in commentary boost

Sunday night's edition of Match of the Day 2 will air without presenters… but there WILL be commentary.

BBC commentators refused to work on Saturday's game, deciding to back Gary Lineker following his inflammatory tweets comparing the regarding government's new Illegal Migration Bill to 1930s Nazi Germany, which saw him taken off air.

The Beeb do not have the rights required to use world feed commentary, an issue that saw last night's 20-minute broadcast go without.

But their own commentators will return for Sunday night's programme for highlights of Manchester United vs Southampton, West Ham vs Aston Villa and Fulham vs Arsenal – albeit without a studio host.

    Arteta gives Gabriel Jesus update

    MOTD viewing figures revealed

Match of the Day last night received its largest audience since November.

The programme was watched by 2.58 million people – up nearly 500,000 from last week's 2.09m viewership.

The BBC aired a shortened 20 minute highlights package at 10:20pm last night.

Following the mutiny sparked by Gary Lineker's suspension after his tweet likening the language used in introducing the government's controversial Illegal Migration Bill to that of 1930s Germany, the bizarre version of the show featured no studio punditry.

Regular analysts and presenters Ian Wright, Alan Shearer, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott, Mark Chapman and Micah Richards refused to fill in, plunging the show into crisis.

The broadcast didn't feature a host or even commentary, instead moving from game to game showing just the highlights.

No interviews with players or managers were included, with stars not asked to give interviews to Match of the Day.

    SunSport Joao Palhinha exclusive

Manchester United are eyeing Fulham star Joao Palhinha to beef up their midfield this summer, writes SunSport's Dan King.

United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all monitoring the Portuguese.

But boss Marco Silva is determined to resist bids for the star.

Fulham paid an initial £17million to sign Palhinha from Sporting Lisbon last year but his performances so far in this campaign will have more than doubled his value to £40m-plus.

He has made more tackles than any midfielder in the big five leagues in Europe and has been the heartbeat of Silva’s side as they chase qualification for Uefa competition next season.

Palhinha’s price tag is also pushed up by the fact that he still has more than four years left on his contract, with the club holding another year’s option.
