Louis Saha has backed Everton and boss Frank Lampard to break into the Premier League 'Big Six' next season.

He told BoyleSports EPL Betting: "A lot of teams in the Premier League can be in the top six and become the challenger to the top four and Everton can be one of those teams.

    Ex-Spurs coach plans president coup

Porto's sale of Fabio Vieira to Arsenal has prompted ex-Tottenham boss Andres Villas-Boas to make a grab for the Portugues club's president role.

That's according to transfer supremo Andy Brassell who claims Porto fans are fuming that the club have got rid of Vieira and Vithana, which has led AVB to mount a power grab.

Brassel said: "The other interesting point, from an ex-Premier League point of view, is because Fabio Vieira is going.

“Vithana, who was on loan at Wolves the season before last, went back to Porto, played very well, got into the Portugal team and now he has been sold to Paris Saint-Germain.

“Porto fans are absolutely raging that two of their best young Portuguese players are gone. So, Andre Villas-Boas, of all people, is using this to try and go for the Porto presidency in 2024.

“So, he is moving out of coaching and into something else.”

"The project they have going on there, (I want to be) an important part of the locker room, adding some experience – not a ton of Premier League experience – but national team experience, league experience and playing games in pressured environments.

"I'll be an older head in the locker room, being 28."

    Arsenal given transfer advice

Arsenal need atleast £40m to bring in Lisandro Martinez.

That's according to football analyst Marciano Vink, who reckons the Ajax defender will be a good squad addition for the Gunners.

He said: "You never know, of course, but if there are so many economic gains to be made, Ajax should always focus on the next one. I think forty million should definitely be negotiable.

“I think White is good, and Gabriel is still a bit unpolished. Neither of them are brilliant builders.

“He would be brought in for the position of left central defender, and I don’t think they’ll take Gabriel out at Arsenal just like that. If they get Martinez, I think they’ll get him for the bench. As a back-up.”

    Good morning Gunners fans

Leeds are expecting Arsenal to make an approach for Brazilian winger Raphinha.

According to The Times, the Gunners are set to launch a £50million bid for the player.

However, Raphinha is attracting interest from a number of top clubs.

Tottenham are also said to be keen, but the player prefers a move to Barcelona.

Highly rated Arsenal youngster Harry Clarke will be joining Stoke City on loan for the 2022/23 season.

The 21 year-old defender gained valuable experience in Scotland last season on loan with Premiership clubs Ross County and Hibernian.

And former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has urged the club to revamp the midfield this summer – starting with the sale of Granit Xhaka.

He told Football Insider: “I think we will see a parting of the ways soon.

“Look, Xhaka had a very good season last season. But at the end of the day, Arsenal didn’t get it done.

“The midfield needs to be revamped. There needs to be more speed and goals injected into that midfield.

“The reliance on Granit Xhaka that Arsenal had has to go. There has to be enough midfielders there who can do a job.

“This is probably the last time we could get money for Xhaka realistically.

“He is an international player, a good player but the time has come. If an opportunity comes along I think they should move him on and get younger legs in there.”
