CHAOS ensued at the Tour de France as a dog ran into the middle of the peloton.
The hound was hit by one rider and saw two cyclists fall off their bikes.
The peloton, which saw dozens of the field's riders compact in a tight group, did well to avoid injury, with many coming close to a halt as a result of the scenario.
The frightened dog tried to break free of the group and can be seen running alongside the riders at the end of the video.
It is unclear how it managed to find its way on the road, although its safety worried social media users following the circulation of the clip on Twitter by CyclingTips
One tweeted: 'Poor dog'.

Another user said: 'It looks like he slipped his leash. I hope he's okay. And the cyclists who wiped out are okay too.'
The famous cycling event has already seen it's fair share of drama, with a rider seeing his glasses smashed off his face in an earlier stage.
As well as this, Italian rider Daniel Oss was forced to withdraw from the tour during stage five.
The 35-year-old overshadowed a chaotic stage when he broke his neck following a collision with a fan.
British fans continue to be impressed by the rise of 22-year-old Tom Pidcok, who is looking to finally secure a Tour de France crown.

The young star, who is already an MBE following his services to the sport, will be looking to join Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome as British champions of the competition.
He made a statement to the field when he secured victory at the famous Alpe d'Huez stage, famously challenging for riders.
The event still has one week left, after beginning on the opening day of July.
