Footy punter earns stunning £25k payout after 96th minute Everton winner sees him win 12-fold pre-season acca | The Sun

A FOOTY punter has won an incredible £25,000 from just a £5 stake thanks to a last-gasp Everton winner.

The 12-fold accumulator looked set to fail only for Amadou Onana to score in 96th minute.

It was the only goal of the game as the Toffees beat Stoke 1-0 in a pre-season friendly.

Everton's win meant the lucky fan is due an incredible £24,459.24.

The bet was priced at an eye-watering 4891/1.

All 12 results were predicted correctly by the mystic punter, including games that saw Atalanta beat Bournemouth, Union Berlin defeat Udinese and Rotherham secure a win over Lincoln.

The other results guessed right saw Newry, Accrington, Volendam, Blackpool, Gillingham, Doncaster Coventry and Huddersfield all win.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said on the win: "Pre-season friendlies are famously difficult to predict.

"It will be hard to find another football bet this campaign to top this 12-fold off-season win.

"The final stages of the Stoke City versus Everton match must have been nerve-wrecking as the other results had come in.

"Amadou Onana’s winner with almost the last kick of the game saw one of our punters net a cool £25k pay-out from just a £5 stake."

This is not the only sensational win, one punter last season landed an amazing £13,780 from 14p bet on 14-fold acca.

And another supporter pocketed £21,755 from a 16-fold £1 accumulator earlier this year by cashing out before failure.
