Boro boss hails Diallo
Tony Mowbray has hailed Man United loanee Amad Diallo after his sensational goal helped give Sunderland the advantage in the playoff tie against Luton Town.
He said, via MEN: "Amad, he’s a magician with his left peg and he’s scored many goals like that this season.
"So it’s no surprise to anybody. It was a great goal.
"2-1 into the next leg, but nobody is getting carried away. We know how tough it is at Luton, they flood your box, they’ve got lots of big players and you’ve got to try and deny them set plays and corners.
"They showed tonight they’re a good football team, they moved the ball around well, and they’ve got some very athletic players and some talented individuals. We have to get ready and start feeling as if it’s 0-0 and go to Luton and try and get a positive result."

Roy Keane has revealed he "really misses" facing off with Patrick Vieiraduring his playing days.
He told Sky Sports: “With the big clubs and obviously when I was playing and obviously Patrick [Viera]. We had a rivalry with you because you’re trying to win championships and we played the same position. So there was always going to be clashes, big personalities, the big clubs.
“Trying to win the big prizes and you’ve shown clips there of what it was like back in our time, and it was brilliant. You really really miss it because it was aggressive, it was nasty.
“There was some top-quality play. There’s obviously the pace to the game and you knew every time you played Arsenal from United’s point of view, that result was going to be so vital if you want to get your hands on the title and honestly, they were great days.”

Wright backs Antony to succeed
Ian Wright has argued that Antony needs more time at Manchester United to reach his potential.
He told Match of the Day: "I’ve got a lot of time for him, I think he’s the same as Darwin Nunez.
"Sometimes with the price tag, people expect so much. We know they have got ability, they have got quality in their first year and when you look at what he is capable of, you have to give this guy some time.
"What he does do, he gets into space. He finds space. This is what is different from a lot of people, pace and skill. He is just skinning them.
"Once you get into this situation [with Sancho free in the box] now you want the calmness and composure.
"In the end a great run comes to nothing but as time goes by, he won’t waste that. It comes down to decisions. But as time goes by, those decisions will come easy to him."

United 'must sign' Brighton duo
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has insisted that the club should make a double raid on Brighton for midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.
He told DAZN Bet: "I think Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are good players, I’m a big fan of Caicedo in particular. They are the type of players Man Utd may look for because they are aggressive, intelligent and good on the ball. They provide a lot of guarantees.
"But there are lots of players in those positions too. Whether Fred and McTominay are thinking they will move if Ten Hag signs them, then that’s a possibility.
If that’s not the case it would be strange. You have Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno who can play there. Even if the season is long, it won’t provide the right platform for Fred and McTominay, if they sign Mac Allister and Caicedo."
