    Cancelo turns Bayern loan around

Bayern Munich have not ruled out activating their £61million option to sign Man City’s Joao Cancelo permanently this summer.

Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: “Cancelo is a top player, technically he is a pleasure to watch.

“We are glad to have him. In terms of the option to buy, we haven’t decided anything.

“We will do that after the end of the season. It’s too early now to say — there are no talks yet.”

    Good morning football fans

Mauricio Pochettino faces a massive uphill battle to keep Mason Mount at Chelsea.

The incoming boss has targeted the £60million-rated midfielder’s contract stand-off as one of his main priorities when he takes over at the end of this season.

But SunSport understands Pochettino’s arrival is coming too late to save negotiations and one of Chelsea’s most popular players looks set to leave his boyhood club after 18 years.

Mount, 24, has barely a year left on his deal and talks are at loggerheads after ten months.

SunSport can reveal Mount was offered a one-year extension by Chelsea in February but this was flatly rejected and seen as a ploy simply to raise his transfer fee.

Relations between the player’s representatives and the club are at an all-time low and Pochettino needs a “miracle” to turn it round.

Neymar is ready to leave PSG, according to reports.

Le Parisien has claimed the Brazilian wants to call time on his career in France, after he was targeted by PSG Ultras who turned up at his home and chanted insults at the world’s most expensive player.

That has put Premier League duo Man Utd and Chelsea on red alert, who hold an interest in the superstar.

PSG are said to be open to the idea of selling Neymar, who has 18 goals and 13 assists this season.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has changed his tune on the future of Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister.

Earlier, he insisted they could have a future at the club next season.

But after Brighton’s win at Arsenal, it seems he’s accepted they may be sold.

“For sure we will lose some players, maybe Caciedo, maybe Mac Allister,” he told Sky Sports.

“We have to be ready to bring other good players (in). For Mitoma and Estupinan, the best solution is to stay with us.”

Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester City.

Bellingham appears set to join Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window following a heated bidding war.

Liverpool were also involved in the transfer chase but pulled out due to the midfielder’s astronomical valuation, which has been set at a reported €150million (£131m).

City have also showed interest but the England international doesn’t appear keen on a move to the Etihad.

That is according to German journalist Patrick Berger, who claims the 19-year-old and his family view the reigning Premier League champions as a “plastic” club.

Bellingham holds the same view regarding other Gulf-backed clubs, such as Paris Saint-Germain.

Aston Villa are eyeing up a double raid on La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to reports.

Spanish publication Sport claim Unai Emery wants to add Marco Asensio and Ferran Torres.

Asensio is out of contract at the end of the season, and looks certain to leave the Bernabeu.

While Barcelona are looking to raise funds after suffering from financial difficulties.

    Pogba's tears

Juventus superstar Paul Pogba broke down in tears as he was forced off in his first start of the season.

Pogba returned to Juve from Manchester United last summer but was plagued by injury throughout the entire campaign.

The midfielder looked to have regained full fitness as he started in the Serie A clash against Cremonese at the Allianz Stadium.

However, the France international sustained yet another injury after just 24 minutes and had to be taken off by Bianconeri manager Massimiliano Allegri.

The 30-year-old was absolutely devastated as he hobbled off the pitch in tears.

Pogba held his shirt on his face as he went off and was replaced by Arkadiusz Milik.

Leeds United have been forced to release a statement condemning abuse aimed at Patrick Bamford.

The striker missed a penalty in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Newcastle, blowing the chance to double his side's lead.

And Leeds have published a statement slamming trolls while also offering Bamford their full support.

It read: “Overnight Patrick Bamford and his family have received completely unacceptable online abuse including several threats via Twitter.

“The time for this behaviour to stop is now.

“Those making threats do not reflect our fan base and are not welcome at our club.

“We would like to thank all those supporters who have reached out to Patrick and his family to show their support.”

When City can wrap it up

The Premier League season is hurtling towards a dramatic finale.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have timed an incredible run since the World Cup.

With Arsenal losing to Brighton, Manchester City can win the Premier League title BEFORE they next have to even kick a ball in the league.

Should the Gunners lose to Nottingham Forest, City will be crowned champions on Saturday, May 20.

If Arsenal beat Forest, then City can instead win it the following day if they beat Chelsea at the Etihad.

Should Arsenal draw at Forest then City only need a draw with Chelsea to secure the title.
