Wout Weghorst will hold talks with Vicent Kompany once his loan spell ends at Manchester United.
The Dutch striker joined the Red Devils on loan in January but has failed to be a reliable goalscorer for the club.
Weghorst, 30, has netted twice for United in cup competitions since his arrival but has failed to find the target in his 15 Premier League appearances.
United have been linked with the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen as they look to add a world class striker to their squad this summer.
However, Weghorst has been vocal about his ambition to stay at the club, but the decision will not be up to him.
He is expected to go back to Burnley following the end of his loan spell.

When quizzed about his future plans speaking at 'An Evening with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer', the Norwegian said: “I’ve got another job in me, if it’s the right chance and exciting enough.

Boro boss hails Diallo
Tony Mowbray has hailed Man United loanee Amad Diallo after his sensational goal helped give Sunderland the advantage in the playoff tie against Luton Town.
He said, via MEN: "Amad, he’s a magician with his left peg and he’s scored many goals like that this season.
"So it’s no surprise to anybody. It was a great goal.
"2-1 into the next leg, but nobody is getting carried away. We know how tough it is at Luton, they flood your box, they’ve got lots of big players and you’ve got to try and deny them set plays and corners.

Roy Keane has revealed he "really misses" facing off with Patrick Vieiraduring his playing days.
He told Sky Sports: “With the big clubs and obviously when I was playing and obviously Patrick [Viera]. We had a rivalry with you because you’re trying to win championships and we played the same position. So there was always going to be clashes, big personalities, the big clubs.

Manchester United target Jurrier Timber has outlined the three details that he would want in a transfer.
The Ajax defender was linked with the Red Devils last summer but has signed a new contract at the Dutch side.
