Tommy Fury in talks to fight Jake Paul's old opponent and ex-UFC champ Tyron Woodley on Floyd Mayweather's undercard | The Sun

TOMMY FURY is in talks to fight Tyron Woodley in a catchweight bout on Floyd Mayweather's undercard.

Mayweather is in the latter stages of shock negotiations to face YouTuber Deji in an exhibition bout in Dubai on November 13.

And according to No Smoke Boxing, Fury and Woodley are being lined up for a spot on the Middle East undercard.

It is claimed discussions are progressing for a catchweight clash in the region of 185lb.

Woodley, 40, has lost his only two boxing bouts since leaving the UFC with both coming against Jake Paul, 25.

The first was over eight rounds in August 2021 before Woodley replaced an injured Fury, 23, four months later but lost the rematch by KO.

The 2019 Love Islander pulled out of facing Paul firstly after breaking a rib in training.

They rescheduled for August 6 at New York's famed Madison Square Garden but Fury was withdrawn amid a US visa issue.

Talk to fight Woodley follow after the news Mayweather, 45, had lined up KSI's brother Deji, 25, as his next opponent.

The former gamer went on a run of three losses in the ring but secured his first win in August, beating online rival Fousey, 32.

Mayweather meanwhile officially retired in August 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 34, in ten Las Vegas rounds.

But he has returned to the ring in three exhibitions since and faces MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, 29, next on September 25 in Japan.

He first came back to the ring in Tokyo in 2018, beating featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 24, in one farcical round.

Then in June 2021 he went the eight-round distance with YouTuber Logan Paul, 27, giving away TWO STONE in doing so.

And most recently, Mayweather dominated former sparring partner Don Moore in Abu Dhabi.

It was the first fight under his Global Titans Fight Series with Deji expected to be the second opponent under his new banner.
