Watch bizarre Swedish league goal as Hammarby keeper somehow mistakes penalty spot for ball leaving fans in hysterics | The Sun

A GOALKEEPER in the Swedish league made a barely believable clanger as he mistook the penalty spot for the ball.

Hammarby's Oliver Dovin will likely never live the mistake down with his error seeing his club fall behind after four minutes.

The clip from the league game between Hammarby and Hacken has gone viral and has footie fans in disbelief.

Swedish keeper Dovin, who was born in London, received the ball from his defender early in the game under very little pressure.

But as the goalie collects the ball and dribbles backwards, he passes the penalty spot which is the same white colour as the ball.

Dovin then incredibly mistakes the penalty spot for the ball as he attempts to pass it away.

The hapless 20-year-old realised his blunder a second too late.

By the time he has worked out where the ball actually is, Hacken's Benie Traore has already nipped in to tap it into the empty net.

The keeper's team-mates attempt to console him after the shocking moment.

Traore would go on to grab a hat-trick in a 3-1 win.
