Youri Tielemans next club – latest odds: Arsenal ODDS-ON favourites to sign Leicester star, Man Utd in the mix | The Sun

ARSENAL remain the odds-on favourites in the race to sign Leicester's midfield star Youri Tielemans.

Sky Bet go 5/6 the Belgian quits the Foxes for the Emirates Stadium with talks understood to be continuing between the clubs.

The central midfielder has just a year remaining on his contract at theKing Power stadium, and it seems the Belgian is unlikely to want to sign a new deal with the Foxes.

This may force the club into selling him this summer, rather than letting him depart for free next year.

Tielemans has spent the last three and a half years at Leicester, after initially signing on loan from Monaco, before making the move permanent in the summer of 2019 for a club-record £41m fee.

The 25-year-old has made 159 appearances for the club, and is perhaps most fondly remembered by fans for scoring the winning goal in the 2021 FA Cup final, the club's first time lifting the trophy in their history.

Arsenal remain the odds-on favourites in the race to sign the central midfielder, ahead of the likes of North London rivals Tottenham, who have also been linked with a move this summer.

Spurs were into single figure odds to hijack the Gunners deal but have moved out to 18/1 to sign Tielemans ahead of Arsenal.

Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Pape Sarr have all returned from loans this summer so they may have to sell a central midfielder or two before they can buy one, though Harry Winks is being linked with an exit.

Manchester United are still in with a chance of signing Tielemans and have been clipped in from 8/1 to 6/1.

The summer departures of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic resulting in a shortage of central midfielders for Erik ten Hag's new side, despite Christian Eriksen's arrival.

  • Stay at Leicester 11/8
  • Manchester United 6/1
  • Tottenham 18/1
  • Newcastle 20/1
  • Liverpool 25/1

Donny van de Beek and James Garner have returned from their loan spells, but Tielemans would likely slot straight into the starting XI should he sign, given the huge level of criticism aimed at Fred and Scott McTominay in the early part of the season.

Eddie Howe's Saudi-backed Newcastle side are also looking to strengthen their side for.

The Magpies are priced at a big 20/1 to sign Tielemans, who would be a statement signing in their quest to challenge for European places next season.

Liverpool and West Ham are bigger odds of 25/1, with Chelsea and Manchester City bigger still at 33/1.
