The loss of Liv (Isobel Steele) hangs painfully in the air for Aaron (Danny Miller) and with his anger towards his mum burning through his veins, he gets ready to leave Emmerdale.
Aaron is struggling to cope after Liv was crushed to death by an airborne caravan in the storm. He and Liv had only just repaired their fractured relationship when her life was so cruelly cut short, and in their tearful goodbyes Liv thanked her big brother for finding her and giving her the life she’d come to love.
In the wake of her death he’s left to navigate this deep and unexpected loss while also coping with his mother’s terrible betrayal. And as if that wasn’t enough, Chas added a layer of blackmail to proceedings, just for good measure.
With all of that in mind, Aaron decides there really is nothing left for him in Emmerdale and he packs up his things as he prepares to exit. There are tearful goodbyes as he says his farewells to Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Vinny (Bradley Johnson). Neither have any idea of the real circumstances behind his decision to leave.
Instead of trying mend bridges, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is more concerned about her secret getting out and quizzes Aaron on whether or not he’s kept his mouth shut. Enraged by her cold and selfish act, Aaron tells her in no uncertain terms, they are done and there is no going back.
With things now officially over with his mum, will he finally come clean to Paddy before he leaves?
