BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay was feeling brave when he hurled cheeky age dig at co-host Sally Nugent on Wednesday's Breakfast (February 22).
Jon and Sally were discussing a photo of MP Michael Gove 'dad dancing' to Donna Summer's hit I Feel Love in the papers when it all kicked off before 7am.
He suggested Sally and anyone else over the age of 50 would 'do their back in' if they tried to get up and dance to their favourite song.
Sally told Jon: "I think there are no rules for dancing over 50. I just think you dance…"
But Jon interrupted and said: "Don't!", but Sally finished: "Dance! Dance like no-one's watching."
Sally then read out a list of songs to dad dance to, asking Jon: "Are you ready?" before she read them out.
Jon said: "I'm not ready to dance, but I'm ready to listen."
Sally pressed: "Oh, you will when you hear this list. Number One on the dad dancing chart. Chubby Checker, The Twist. You stay sat down when that's playing."
But then Jon took things to savage new heights when he bit back: "And you try and dance to it and not do your back in when you're over 50!"
