BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty drives Charlie Stayt to snap ‘I’m not going to answer!’ after repeated grilling | The Sun

BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt snapped 'I'm not going to answer' after a repeated grilling from Naga Munchetty.

The journalists were back on the BBC Breakfast sofa for the first time this week and started the programme by discussing a number of stories in today's newspapers.

One that caught Naga's eye was about whether people are creatures of habit and she asked Charlie, 60, if he was one.

He replied: "Quite a bit, yeah. I would say so."

He then started moving things on the table in front of them and joked: "I'll just put my pen exactly there while I'm talking. Carry on."

Naga, 47, then said: "Do you think when you cook something on the hob you have a favoured gas ring?"

Charlie said he did, and Naga replied: "57 percent admitted enjoying a routine, and I'd like to think I wasn't wedded to a routine but I do think I am."

As she held the article, she continued: "So I was looking at this list, right – just say yay or nay. Sleep on the same side of the bed every night?"

Charlie said "yes" and Naga carried on: "Do the same supermarket shop?"

Charlie suddenly seemed to realise the questions could go on for a while, and snapped: "I'm not going to answer all these questions. What's the gas ring thing? Can we get to the gas ring?"

Undeterred, Naga continued: "Have tea in the same mug every day?"to which Charlie replied: "No, no, no no. Well, I do when I'm here…"

Naga said: "Yeah you do, you do," before adding "Ordering the same thing when getting a takeaway?"

Getting fed up, Charlie replied: "Anyway…What about the gas ring?"

Nage explained: "It's just one of the examples. Buy the same brand of toothpaste, eat the same sandwich every lunchtime?"

Charlie responded: "I think a lot of people would say that's true."

Naga answered: "I'd like to think I was a creature of variety and everything but obviously, I'm not."

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
