BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty hits back at co-star as he takes swipe at her 'perplexed' face | The Sun

NAGA Munchetty hit back at BBC Breakfast co-star Charlie Stayt live on air who claimed she looked "perplexed".

The 47-year-old presenter was back on the famous red sofa on Friday morning alongside Charlie – but things soon turned sour.

They woke up the nation with the latest headlines from across the world and later chatted to sports correspondent Mike Bushell.

Mike discussed the news that EFL clubs have considered moving their kick-off times forward from 3pm to lunchtime in a bid to save money on energy bills.

However, research has since revealed that these savings would be wiped out by reduced income from hospitality and ticket sales.

Mike said: "If you think about Carlisle going down to Exeter, if it's an afternoon kick-off you could probably set off on the same day.

"But they may need to set off the night before for a one o'clock kick-off and then you're talking about hotel bills."

After a short pause, he pointed out: "You look perplexed, Naga."

She replied: "No, I'm not perplexed. I just think football fans are quite willing to travelling, aren't they? And two hours, I can't see it making a big difference."

It comes just 24 hours after Naga made a veiled dig at weather presenter Carol Kirkwood.

Giving a weather report on the autumnal climate and chatting to Naga about outdoor activities like golf, the pair spoke of how the weather wouldn't be good for a day on the golf course.

After Carol finished reporting on the weather during Thursday's episode, Naga said: "It is getting windy, I don't like the wind and the rain, but I like the temperature – how's that Carol, does that work?"

Carol then replied: "Well, yeah, that works, but the wind can sometimes temper with the temperature – so it will feel cooler than the temperature – but it's good enough."

"If you say so," replied Naga, before Carol handed back to her and Charlie.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.
