Jenny Auggeters Talks About The Call The Midwife Christmas Special
Call the Midwife has teased its viewers as they have shared an exclusive sneak peek for the festive special this year.
This year, the Christmas episode is set to be just as emotional as ever after hints have been dropped it could be one character’s last Christmas.
The festive special will take place two weeks before Christmas day as the midwives prepare to watch Apollo 8 land on the moon.
Sister Monica Joan (played by Judy Parfitt) shares with her colleagues at Nonnatus House that she believes it will be her last Yuletide after deciding she will not live to see a man walk on the moon.
Trixie Franklin (Helen George) and her brother Geoffrey Franklin (Christopher Harper) decide they must come up with a plan to lighten Sister Monica’s outlook on her future.

Elsewhere, Nancy Corrigan (Megan Cusack) decides to stay at Nonnatus House as Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) offers her and Colette Corrigan (Francesca Fullilove) a room.
Newlyweds Trixie and Matthew Aylward (Olly Rix) come back from their honeymoon and are excited for their first Christmas together as husband and wife.
Of course, there will be some drama involved at Christmas as Cyril Robinson (Zephryn Taitte) hopes to help a lonely man living in a dilapidated basement flat who finds Christmas the hardest time of the year.
Fred Buckle (Cliff Parisi), Violet Buckle (Annabelle Apsion) and Reggie Jackson (Daniel Laurie) are also returning.
