Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper makes subtle swipe at Diddly Squat council row as he begins hunt for new apprentice | The Sun

CLARKSON'S Farm star Kaleb Cooper has made a subtle swipe at a Diddly Squat council row as he begins the hunt for a new apprentice.

Kaleb has a four-acre plot near his Prime Video co-star Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm.

The 27-year-old farmer has requested permission for a co-worker to live on site to care for his pigs, chickens and calves.

Kaleb has a 38ft caravan, currently used as an office, which already has a bathroom and plant pots outside.

He has applied for retroactive planning permission from West Oxfordshire District Council, the same council who has been locked in a number of battles with Jeremy, 62, over his expansion plans for his farm in recent months.

While Kaleb waits for permission to hopefully be granted for his plans, he has advertised for a new apprentice on his social media.

The ad reads: "We are partnering up with Moreton Morrell College to offer one young entrant the unique opportunity to join the Kaleb Cooper Contracting team, gain experience and enhance skills in the world of Agriculture through 'The General Farm Worker Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship'.

"The ideal candidate will be hard working, flexible, have a can do attitude, a willingness to learn and a passion for farming."

The candidates were then given the email address to send their CV and covering letter to, before Kaleb appeared to make a dig at the on-going council situation.

The post finished with: "Please note that no accommodation is available on site therefore candidates will be required to travel to the workplace situated remotely outside Chipping Norton."

If Kaleb's request is granted, it will last for two years while he establishes the business.

Down-to-earth Kaleb — who with girlfriend Tara has a two-year-old son and a newborn daughter — quickly became a favourite with fans of the hit Amazon series for his no-nonsense advice.

He is going on tour around the UK next year after releasing his debut book The World According to Kaleb.

Grand Tour host and Sun columnist Clarkson, 63, has had a string of battles over his plans for Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton — especially attempts to build a restaurant.

Earlier this month the council’s decision to stop him extending a car park to cope with growing visitor numbers at the farm shop was overturned on appeal.

Clarkson's Farm is available on Prime Video.
