Coronation Street fans thrilled as missing character returns

Coronation Street: Kevin asks Abi to move in with him and Jack

Coronation Street’s Kevin Webster (played by Michael Le Vell) returned to Weatherfield on Wednesday night and was reunited with his old friend Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).

During recent scenes, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) walked out of the house and noticed their car had turned up, telling Tyrone: “Oh Kevin’s back! Sorry to hear about your father, Kevin.”

Stepping out and getting his bags from the boot, Kevin exclaimed: “Thanks, but these things happen don’t they, none of us get out of this alive.”

Being the concerned friend, Tyrone asked: “Hiya mate, how are you doing?” before Kevin admitted: “Yeah… yeah you know. You managed to keep the garage running?”

Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) teased: “Well we did try running it into the ground,” as Tyrone quipped: “But we thought we’d be stepping on your toes.”

Noticing a man with a red sports car waiting to be seen, Abi asked: “I thought you sorted Tom Jones out this morning?”

Tyrone explained that he did and left Kevin to ask: “Think he can hear a squeaking sound? It’s not unusual.”

Unhappy with the joke, Abi jumped in: “Oh no, not this again,” leaving Tyrone to add: “Let’s see if we can get him to the green green grass of old.”

Laughing at Abi and Tyrone’s bickering, Kevin expressed: “It’s like I have never been away!”
