Amy Barlow (played by Elle Mulvany) has moved out of the flat she previously shared with Aaron Sandford (James Craven) after he raped her. Whilst Amy is adamant she didn’t consent, Aaron is in denial that he would do such a thing and has told Amy they had both made a mistake. Official Coronation Street spoilers reveal Amy is set to report Aaron but will there be ramifications for the youngster?

In upcoming scenes, Amy feels uncomfortable and stands awkwardly in her bridesmaid dress before Adam (Sam Robertson) gives her a friendly squeeze.

Amy flinches at his touch, remembering the events of that night which doesn’t go unnoticed by Simon.

Trying to comfort her, Simon (Alex Bain) attempts to broach the subject and ask what’s the matter with her but she snaps and informs him to back off.

Tracy notices their exchange and begins to wonder what could have gone on.

Elsewhere, Summer reads a text on Aaron’s phone suggesting to Amy they put things behind them.

Stunned and feeling betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend, Summer demands to know what’s going on.

Wanting to be honest with Summer and not have any secrets, Aaron admits they slept together the night they broke up but it was a one-off and they both regret it.

She is left heartbroken and confronts Amy who bursts into tears and assures her she’s got it all wrong.

Feeling overwhelmed and not wanting to lose her friendship with Summer, Amy confesses to Tracy how Aaron raped her.

Her mother is left horrified as Amy describes how she passed out drunk and Aaron took advantage of her.

Heartbroken Steve and Tracy urge Amy to report Aaron to the police.

Amy hesitantly and nervously enters the police station and says she wants to report a rape, with Tracy standing at her side for support.

Will the police take Amy’s claim seriously and will Aaron be arrested?

After reliving the nightmare once again, Summer strides over and demands Amy apologise for sleeping with Aaron.

Fed up of feeling like the bad guy, Amy reveals Aaron raped her, but Summer refuses to believe her and accuses her of lying.

Amy explains to Summer that she never consented to have sex with Aaron and the police are taking her allegation seriously.

Kicking off the investigation, the police begin to scrutinise Amy’s phone with DS Swain beginning to ask some awkward questions.

Amy begins to feel like the guilty party, but will they proceed with her case?

How will the residents of Weatherfield cope when the news of the allegations are exposed?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
