Coronation Street star confirms exit but would love to stick around

Coronation Street: Evelyn and Cassie

Coronation Street’s Courtney Vance (played by Stephanie Davis) made her presence known with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), and Stephanie has now insisted she would “love to stick around”.

Courtney has seduced Aadi while her husband Darren Vance (Ryan Early) is in the middle of a business investment with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin).

Actress Stephanie recently spoke out about her time on the show and being able to play Courtney, insisting she would “love” to stay on the cobbles after the storyline has ended.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, she explained: “I would love to see her stick around.

“There are so many different layers to explore there with her, and she certainly made herself at home straight away, so I would love to see her stick around.”

In recent scenes, Courtney has admitted to Aadi that she is in a loveless marriage with Darren and enjoys where their relationship is heading.

She was also recently confronted by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) who suggested she was using Aadi for her own enjoyment and to leave him alone.

Ignoring her request, Courtney continued her mission for Aadi and surprised him with a sexy gift to wear to their next meeting.

When discussing how she thought of Courtney and describing her as a “lost little girl”, Stephanie added: “She is definitely attracted to him but I think a lot of it comes from her relationship with Darren.

“He has cheated on her multiple times, I think it has affected her self-worth and her confidence and I know she is attracted to him but I think a lot of it as well is to get one back on her husband.

“She wants someone to love her and he shows that to her and gives her that love and affection.

“She is used to getting what she wants, what Courtney wants, Courtney gets but like I said that is a big bravado, from what I see, deep down she is just a lost little girl.

“At first, it is a bit of fun but she starts to see this other side to him and he definitely sees another side to her and then it gets a bit more serious.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
