DeMarcus saved in Hollyoaks as two huge discoveries are made?

Freedom is close for Hollyoaks’ DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade), who is currently languishing behind bars for a crime he did not commit.

The teen, as viewers know, was arrested for the murder of Saul Reeves (Chris Charles), after real killer Joseph Holmes (Olly Rhodes) set him up, planting the murder weapon on him.

In addition to the knife, Joseph also planted Saul’s engagement ring on DeMarcus, which he’d previously used to propose to girlfriend Vicky (Anya Lawrence).

DeMarcus has since been in young offenders, and upcoming scenes will see him get into serious trouble – and danger – while behind bars.

Vicky, however, is in the position to potentially save DeMarcus from a life in prison, after a series of events lead her to accuse Joseph of being behind Saul’s attack!

Will she do the right thing and turn her boyfriend in? Or will Joseph use his manipulation tactics in a bid to keep her on side?

Only time will tell, but if you’re struggling to wait then fear not, as Hollyoaks’ autumn trailer – which drops on Monday August 29 at 5pm – will give you a first look at all the drama to come, including the aforementioned showdown.

Trust us, it’s a good one!

DeMarcus, meanwhile, will receive a visit from his dad Felix (Richard Blackwood) for the first time since he was sent to young offenders.

The father and son duo will open up during an unmissable single storyline-strand episode, which will explore their relationship in great detail and, narratively, prove instrumental to what comes after.

Felix, as viewers know, is on a mission to prove DeMarcus’ innocence, having joined forces with detective Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown), who knows full well that DeMarcus didn’t kill her colleague.

He and Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) also team up next week and manage to make their way into Joseph’s home, where they retrieve a smashed up phone.

But will this be the breakthrough they need?

Hollyoaks new Autumn trailer will drop on Monday August 29 at 5pm over on the Channel 4 soap’s social media channels. The DeMarcus and Felix two-hander will air on Monday on E4 at 7pm and Tuesday August 30 on Channel 4 at 6pm.
